Photography

Photography is the process, activity and art of creating still or moving pictures by recording radiation on a sensitive medium, such as film, or an electronic sensor. Light patterns reflected or emitted from objects activate a sensitive chemical or electronic sensor during a time exposure, usually through a photographic lens in a device known as a camera that also stores the resulting information chemically or electronically. Photography has many uses for business, science, art and pleasure.

Photography is so much part of life today. The average person in the United States may encounter more than 100 camera images a day. Photographs preserve persona lmemories like family snapshots and inform us of public events. They provide a means of identification, glamorization, views of far places even from earth, microscopic organisms and others.

Photography, coming from the Greek awto and ypapia is the process, activity and art of creating still or moving pictures by recording radiation on a sensitive medium, such as film, or an electronic sensor.

Physical Fitness

Physical fitness is to the human body what fine tuning is to an engine. It enables us to perform up to our potential. Fitness can be described as a condition that helps us look, feel and do our best. more specifically, it is:

“The ability to perform daily tasks vigorously and alertly, with energy left over for enjoying leisure-time activities and meeting emergency demands. It is the ability to endure, to bear up, to withstand stress, to carry on in circumstances where an unfit person could not continue, and is a major basis for good health and well-being.”

Physical fitness involves the performance of the heart and the lungs, and the muscles of the body. And since, what we do with our body also affects we can do with our mind, fitness influence to some degree qualities such as mental alertness and emotional stability.

Population Education

For population education to be useful to people, it must adopt an approach that will touch the aspects and factors concerning population growth. Some of these concepts include national growth rate, dependency ratio, percentage of unemployment or high density need to be translated in terms of the individual, his own family and his own village or immediate community. Aside from these, reproduction which is the main tool of the population growth should also be given a great interest of learning.

Man and Woman’s sexuality should be given understanding and the process by which reproduction took place resulting to the growth of population. People should likewise be knowledgeable about adopting the various population control methods.

An IPPF publication (Muriuki, 1979) notes, “young people are today living in a rapidly changing world where they are faced with many problems and pressures ranging from early childbearing and lock of employment opportunities, to the difficulties arising from the changing structure of the family and the community.

In the same vein, the report of an international consultation on adolescent fertility (IPPF, 1984) stresses, “every society has a responsibility to prepare adolescents of both sexes for the world they will live in and this should include teaching them about sexuality and reproduction. Attitudes developed during childhood and youth will influence the whole way of life of future generations, including the outcome of their pregnancies and their ability to be good parents… Emotional and social needs should not be forgotten…”

Team Sports

Team sports refers to sports that are practiced between opposing teams, where the players interact directly and simultaneously between them to achieve an objective. The objective generally involves team members facilitating the movement of a ball or similar item in accordance with a set of rules, in order to score points. Team sports with wide participation include basketball, football, hammerthrow, baseball, handball, hockey, volleyball, and marching band. The term is used to distinguish itself from individual sports which are based solely on individuals’ merit like most racket sports, boxing or martial arts and individual timed races such as may occur in athletics track and field athletics or swimming.

However, racing sports like swimming, cross country running, and track and field are also contested as team sports, especially scholastically. Although they differ in many ways from ball sports, teamwork and team scoring play a major part in this competitions. As with other team sports, scoring relies on the depth and versatility of the team, although standouts can significantly affect their team’s points. Team sports are when a team works “together” as a unit.

Disease

A disease or medical condition is an abnormal condition of an organism that

impairs bodily functions and can be deadly. It is also defined as a way of the body harming itself in an abnormal way, associated with specific symptoms and signs.

In human beings, “disease” is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes extreme pain, dysfunctions, distress, social problems, and/ death to the person afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person. In this broader sense, it sometimes includes injuries, disabilities, disorders, syndromes, deviant behaviors, and a typical variations of structure and functions, while in other contexts and for other purposes these may be considered distinguishable categories.

People are suffering from various kinds of diseases. Some diseases are caused by lack of health consciousness   among some people while others are borne naturally within our body without even knowing the cause or reason of having such kind of illness.

There are many factors that cause different kinds of diseases, in the same way that there are also plenty of ways to treat them. What we only need is proper information about our illness, and the desire to keep our body healthy and stay alive.
